How can we take advantage of the artificial intelligence revolution? Thomas Davenport and Nitin Mittal have studied pioneering companies in this field. They took a particular interest in a category of companies they describe as “AI-powered companies”—those that have already opted for a massive transformation by mobilizing a large number of employees, in order to develop the uses of AI as quickly as possible. A noteworthy point: the authors endeavored to identify these companies in every business sector, beyond the technological giants. This book is therefore aimed at any executive wishing to prepare their company for the massive arrival of AI. Building on examples from the Singaporean bank DBS, Airbus, Morgan Stanley and Shell, the book addresses strategic aspects as well as technological and human ones. It underlines in particular the importance of driving a cultural transformation of the company, with a view to accelerating innovation, experimentation and continuous learning.
