For David Rowan, too many companies spend more time talking about innovation than delivering it. The author even talks of the “innovation theatre” to describe this highly time and resource consuming staging, which results in often disappointing results. On the contrary, a few organizations stand out through their capacity to identify, then implement, disruptive innovations, with a strong impact on their markets. In this book, he analyses what makes them different. In 16 chapters, each dedicated to a specific company, Non-Bullshit Innovation unveils the recipes of these champions of innovation: data collection and analysis, systematic prototyping, risk taking culture, close ties with their ecosystem… The book almost reads like a detective story. A narrative stance that might leave some readers hungry for concepts and methods—yet a useful source for whoever wants to find stimulating, or even unusual ways to renew the innovation approach in their company or team.
