How to develop a collaborative culture in the company? How to allow the collective intelligence of an organization to fully express itself? On the contrary to the proponents of radical transformation, of the “self-managed company” type, the authors support a more gradual approach, based on what has been tested these past few years by the French national lottery company Française des Jeux (FDJ).
The first part of the book provides a thorough and documented overview of contemporary societal evolutions, particularly those linked to the digital age. It shows how these evolutions call for a strengthening of collaborative practices. Yet the transition towards the collaborative company, starting from managerial models impregnated with a century of scientific organization of labor, is far from obvious. The second part of the book presents the different measures that FDJ has deployed to negotiate this change in a progressive and pragmatic manner. It notably presents tools such as the collaborative workshops, the fittings of a meeting venue specifically designed to facilitate cross-functional decision-making, and the corporate social network.
A well-documented and inspiring return of experience.
