This book tackles the topic of trust from the perspective of leadership performance. Surfing on the tide of ethical scandals in recent years, it shows how famous CEOs use values to establish the credibility and long-term performance of their company. Essentially constructed around real-life stories and anecdotes of well-known business leaders, the book puts forth principles and techniques applied by the latter in carrying out their duties. The descriptions of the everyday dilemmas experienced by these executives and the individual strategies found to resolve them are particularly fascinating. Although the author proposes no specific methods, she incites readers to think about their own trust-building practices with their subordinates, customers, shareholders and other audiences, with a strong message—trust must be earned and all of us can improve in this domain.
