In this book devoted to leadership ethics, chapter 7 develops upon the question of diversity in a highly stimulating fashion. The author adopts the rationale of the moral obligation for companies to represent the diversity of the population and provide equal opportunity to all. He identifies a certain number of original practices that companies have employed to do this, and gives detailed illustrations of the training programs established by the financial services company Charles Schwab, of the minority support groups instituted at Xerox, and of the original recruiting practices of the British home improvement chain, B&Q.
