In its first edition published in 2005, this book covered the budding social network phenomenon very early in the game. The 2008 updated version covers the rapid spread of social networks, from Facebook to intranets, and shows how they can trigger deep changes by stimulating a whole new wave of user-oriented applications. This point of view is more centered on the organization than on market interactions, but it is still instructive to gain an understanding of the range of tools currently being developed.
