The author wanted to help Lean Management realize its full potential and rehabilitate this approach in the process. Indeed, Lean is frequently reduced to cost-cutting projects whose success is often short-lived. In reality, however, Lean is a holistic approach aimed at optimizing performance and achieving operational excellence. But these results cannot be obtained unless habitual practices are abandoned—hence the importance of culture change management.

The scientific and analytical approach adopted by the author could turn off readers unfamiliar with mathematical models. That being said, the breakdown of a concrete example involving a restaurant is helpful to grasp the methodology!
