High-quality interpersonal communication is increasingly critical in an environment where the hierarchy is becoming flatter and flatter. Several psychological biases nonetheless frequently cause misunderstandings within the organization:
- The desire to avoid hurting others
- The need to give meaning to questions
- Peoples' focus on themselves
To overcome these biases, the authors suggest promoting four attitudes:
- Be lucid, be explicit, be positive, be curious.
