Summary
The working methods that were urgently established during the Covid-19 crisis cannot become the new norm. Experience shows that full remote has short-term benefits, but that in the medium and long term, trust is eroded, team cohesion and commitment are damaged, corporate culture is undermined, and performance declines.
This article provides various ideas for managing this transition. Specific highlights among these include the importance of investing time and energy to perpetually revitalize the sense of belonging, the particular attention to be paid to hybrid meetings and to the welcoming of newcomers, or the value of mapping the organization's informal networks to follow the evolution of its culture.
